At Port Montego®, there is only one season. Because in the Caribbean, the temperature never really changes, the sun simply sets.

ORIGIN

Port Montego was born from a simple truth: the Caribbean doesn't need to be dressed up — it just needs to be worn right.

Founded by entrepreneur and creative director Shomari Hines, the brand takes its name from two of Jamaica's most iconic corners — PORTland and MONTEGO Bay — and channels everything between them into apparel and accessories built for people who carry the island with them. Not as a vacation. As a way of moving through the world.

The colors come from the Caribbean coast. The prints come from its markets, its culture, its visual history. The confidence comes from its people — unhurried, specific, and entirely their own. Port Montego translates all of it into clothing that moves, breathes, and holds up under the sun.

This is resort wear with real roots. Culture-forward, performance-ready, and made for the warmth.

Our customer isn't shopping by season, they're shopping by itinerary.

TRUE ISLAND HERITAGE

Port Montego draws from the whole Caribbean — not just one island. From the wild green hills of Jamaica to the painted storefronts of Old San Juan, the reef-rimmed cays of the Bahamas to the wind-carved coasts of Barbados, the Caribbean is not one place. It's a feeling that shows up differently everywhere you go — and Port Montego captures all of it.

What unites every island isn't opulence. It's the pace. The color. The way people move when the temperature never drops and the ocean is always close. Port Montego is built from that — designed for the traveler who gets it, the local who lives it, and everyone in between who's ever felt most like themselves with salt air and sun on their skin.

DESIGN

A good island wardrobe doesn't come from one fabric — it comes from the right one for the right moment. Port Montego builds each category from the ground up with that in mind.

Our resort shirts use lightweight, breathable performance fabric — moisture-wicking, UPF50+ rated, and cut in a relaxed silhouette that drapes well whether you're on a boat at noon or at a table at sunset. The tees are made from organic and ring-spun cotton, chosen for their softness and easy, lived-in feel — the kind of shirt that gets better every time you wear it. The water shorts are built to transition seamlessly from the water to the rest of your day, drying fast without sacrificing comfort or fit.

Casual without being careless. Functional without feeling utilitarian. Every piece earns its place in the bag.

THE ICON

The ship hull at the center of Portmontego’s logo is about movement—constant, effortless, and forward. It’s pulled from the lines of boats cutting through Caribbean water, built for getting from one island to the next without slowing down.

It reflects the pace of the region—coastlines, crossings, and the energy of always being in motion. From hidden coves to busy shores, it’s about showing up, exploring, and keeping it moving.

At its core, the icon stands for freedom, travel, and the Caribbean way of life—where the journey matters just as much as the destination.
